About Lowryder.co.uk
Lowryder.co.uk was started by Seedsman Ltd in 2005, when we first discovered the consistent auto-flowering traits that The Joint Doctor (the breeder of the Lowryder strains) had focused his work on. We knew that it was important to preserve and promote these rare genetics for unlike most cannabis strains Lowryder and all auto-flowering strains will flower according to age rather than photoperiod.
Our company mission, and the aim of all our web sites, is to help preserve cannabis genetics for future generations whilst promoting the need to control and regulate cannabis under a legal framework. Lowryder, and the hybrids derived from it, and their consistent auto-flowering characteristics offer interesting possibilities in a world where cannabis cultivation is legal, due to their small size, rapid growth and distinctive flowering patterns.
We believe all cannabis genetics, both rare and common, need to be preserved to ensure a diverse gene pool remains when politicians begin to better realise the therapeutic applications of cannabis and that the best way to minimise harms to individuals is through its regulation under a legal framework.
A more diverse gene pool makes cannabis less susceptible to diseases and pests and provides a larger scope for research.
We, therefore, sell a diverse and increasing range of cannabis seeds for domestic preservation. Although we only sell Lowryder strains on this website we do have an extensive collection of other strains on www.seedsman.com. We encourage customers to store the seeds they buy until a time when it is legal to grow them as well as selling products that can be used to help store seeds safer and for longer periods.
We believe that cannabis would be safer under legal regulation as it would be easier to impose age restrictions, control potency and quality, and take earnings away from criminal gangs. Users/smokers would know exactly what they are taking and would have a choice of strains and potency. We also believe that the people who use cannabis need to be protected rather than targeted by the law.
Therefore, a percentage of our company’s profit is spent on helping promote the need for legal change both within the UK and abroad. Funds are allocated to support political lobbying organisations and charities, and attending cannabis trade shows and conferences.
More importantly, we try to encourage all our web sites' visitors to do the same by keeping them up-to-date with cannabis news, and laws, and providing a resource of articles and information on all aspects of cannabis, not only to feed their interest but also to get them more actively involved in the lobbying process.
