Lowryder: Attack of the bonsai marvel!
Imagine this, you want to grow a small amount of cannabis for your own use, perhaps for medical use but you don’t have the know-how or the inclination. Maybe the ambiguous laws or your physical ability prevent you. Well now there may be an answer to your problems; “Lowryder”
This strain of cannabis has recently kicking up a storm all over the world. Wherever it has set roots, growers have been discussing the weird and wonderful properties of Lowryder.
First of all what is “Lowryder”?
Lowryder is an auto-flowering miniature cannabis strain that can be planted indoors and out. Once the seeds have been germinated Lowryder immediately starts to flower until its completion around 60 days later, at which point the plants stand at an average of 12 inches!! The ultimate stealth plant, combined with an incredibly simple lifecycle, removing the need for equipment, space and huge amounts of cultivation knowledge.
All in all it would seem to be the perfect plant for the medical cultivator, who often requires the end product without wanting to partake in hours of plant care and the inconvenience of having large plants around the house/garden.
Of course all of the above benefits of Lowryder would equally excite the hobby grower for completely different reasons. The potential of multiple outdoor harvests coupled with the stealth of the miniature Lowryder makes this a great addition to the guerilla gardeners’ seed collection.
It must be said that this plant isn’t going to be to everyone’s liking; the flip side of Lowryders’ bonsai stature is the low yields in comparison to larger cannabis strains, and the quality which whilst being remarkably good doesn’t match longer flowering varieties currently on the markets.
So why would you grow Lowryder over other strains?
There are a number of reasons depending on your circumstance, stealth being the most obvious to myself. Lowryder really is a new wave in stealth plants; you can plant it in your back garden amongst your vegetables or flowers and relax knowing that no one is going to be looking around their ankles for your herb farm!! When planted out either in window boxes or in the garden these miniature plants really do camouflage beautifully. Strangely, because of their size and relatively low pungency the sight of a Lowyder on a windowsill hardly seems to attract a glance from any visitors. Roof gardens and balconies would also suit this plant.
Outdoors Lowryder can be planted virtually all year around allowing for several harvests. In Europe the last crop could be planted as late as August and still produce its expected yield /quality. With the apparent toughening of the UK cannabis laws, particularly in relation to the defence of “medical necessity”, a plant like Lowyrder could become the knight in shining armor for the medical cannabis user in the UK.
Sadly CCNewz no longer exists.
